NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches' Association of America announced the 2021 NAIA PING All-America Team Friday evening, and on the heels of finishing runner-up at the NAIA National Championships, William Woods University's
Logan Smith was among the list.
This is the second time Smith was named a NAIA PING All-American. He was named to the Third Team in 2019.
Smith, a junior from La Plata, Mo., placed second at his second NAIA National Championships. He led the NAIA National Championships through the first two rounds and tied the Championships 36-hole record. Following the four-round championship, he earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. On the season, he averaged a 71.05 round of golf through 17 rounds and had five overall tournament wins. He shot a program record 201 at the Missouri Valley Spring Invite, and he began the season shooting four straight rounds under par.
The award is selected by a panel of coaches and announced immediately following the NAIA National Championships finish.
