ST. LOUIS, Mo. – (Tournament Page) The William Woods University men’s soccer team travels to three-seeded Missouri Baptist University for the opening round of the American Midwest Conference Championship on Saturday, Nov. 5. The two teams face off at 7 p.m.

Each round of the AMC Championship will be hosted by the higher seed, with the quarterfinals beginning on Sat., Nov. 5, semifinals on Tues., No. 8 and the champion crowned on Fri., Nov. 11.

The Owls enter postseason with a 5-8-3 overall record and are on a three-game winning streak, closing out the regular season with wins over Lyon, Missouri Baptist and UHSP. Just under a week ago, the Owls shut out Missouri Baptist 2-0 at home with freshman David Fink scoring both goals. 

Florian Senst leads the Owls' offensive efforts with 15 points. He has scored four goals and assisted seven this season. Omar Ariel Murillo Hernandez, David Fink, Lubos Polacko and Senst lead the Owls’ scoring efforts with four goals apiece. Three of Fink’s goals have been game winners. 

On the defensive end, Iker Gonzalez leads the Owls with a 3-3-1 record in goal. He has 82 saves, two shutouts and 10 complete games.
