FULTON, Mo. – Logan Smith and the William Woods University men's golf team won the William Woods Spring Invite by nine strokes. This is the Owls sixth consecutive tournament win.
 
The Owls shot 297 on round one and 286 on the second round for a total of 583. John A. Logan and Central Methodist tied at second.
 
The Owls "B" team finished in the 11^th spot with a total of 658.
 
Smith shot a 71 on the first round and an impressive 69 on the second round, for a total of 140 (four under par) to win the individual title.
 
Jakub Dymecki finished in second place with a total of 141. He shot 72 on the first round and 69 on the second round.
 
Philipp Heller tied at 22^nd to finish with a 152 score, shooting 74 on the first round and on the second round a 78.
 
Playing for the "B" team, Pheemawat Winomrat finished in 25^th place with a total of 153.
 
Arron Patel placed 31^st with a total of 156.
 
Theo Brown finished in the 40^th spot. He shot 87 on the first round and improved to 72 on the second round with a total of 159.
 
Grant Mach, competing for the "B" team, tied at the 51^st spot with a total of 166. He shot 83 in both rounds.
 
Also competing for the "B" team, Evan LaPosha finished tied at 55^th, and KC Carlson tied at 57^th. LaPosha shot 82 on the first round and 86 on the second round with a total of 168. Carlson shot 85 on the first round and 86 on the second round with a total of 171.
 
The Owls will compete at the Park Spring Invitational on Apr. 4-5 in Parkville, Mo.
