MONMOUTH, ILL. – (RESULTS) - The William Woods University Men's track and field team participated in the Roger Haynes Invitational hosted by Monmouth College Saturday afternoon.
Men's DMR consisting of Jenson Starr, Carlos Gomez, Ian Schwierjohn, and Landon Dunlap set new school record with a time of 10:29.90, just missed the National standard by less than 5 seconds.

Sprints

• Isaiah Buse - qualified for finals in the 60-meter dash, placing fifth with a 7.37 time.
• Easton Ambler – placed sixth in the 400-meter dash with a new PR of 57.37.
• Rodney Cherilus - placed eight in the 400-meter dash with a new PR of 57.89.

Hurdles

• Easton Ambler – places second in the 60-meter hurdles with a 9.06 time, improved ranking in WWU record book. Rodney Cherilus placed fifth with a 9.36 time, and Riley Solan placed sixth with a 9.49 time.

Relays

• The Distance Medley Relay (DMR) comprised of Jenson Starr, Carlos Gomez, Ian Schwierjohn, Landon Dunlap  finished with a 10:29.90  time, moving them into 1^st place in the WWU record book.
• The 4x200 meter relay, comprised of Jaren Washington, Jacob Polacek, Riley Solan, Isaiah Buse placed fourth with a 1:38.11 time.
• The Owls had two teams compete in the 4x400 meter relay. The A team, comprised of Rodney Cherilus, Easton Ambler, Zachary Knopf, Riley Solan, placed seventh with a 3:50.41 time. The B team, comprised of Tyler Winslett, Jacob Polacek, James Ruck, Charles Pickens placed ninth with a 4:04.38 time.

Throws

• Daulton Melton placed second in the weight throw (14.64m), and sixth in the shot put (12.94m).
