ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team opened conference play with a three-game series sweep at Harris-Stowe State University.
Isaiah Gibbs broke the WWU career triples record in game two of the series, grabbing his ninth of his career. The Owls improve to 14-8, begin conference with a 3-0 record.

The Owls host University of Saint Mary (Kan.) for a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, March 22, starting at 3 p.m.
- The Owls put up 10 runs in the first two innings. They added a run in the fifth and their 12th and final run in the sixth.
- HSSU scored two in the fourth and two in the seventh.
- Isaiah Gibbs and Ian O'Malley each recorded home runs.
- The Owls posted 11 hits with eight players recording at least one hit.
- Isaiah Gibbs went 3-5 from the plate with a home run, a double, two runs scored and a RBI.
- Zach Krause went 2-3 from the plate with two RBI.
- Pitching: Ryan Long (3-1) started on the mound and pitched 5.0 innings for the win. He struck out five and allowed no earned runs. Kohl Weber, Zach Judson and Andrew Fyffe pitched as well.
- Isaiah Gibbs broke the WWU career triples record in the top of the fifth with his ninth collegiate triple.

- Matt Hanson hit a two-run homer in the seventh.
- Blain Tuepker went 2-3 from the plate with three runs scored and two RBI.

- Pitching: Jared Stephens (3-1) started on the mound and pitched 5.0 innings for the win. He struck out five and allowed just three hits and no runs. Logan Blumhagen pitched 2.0 innings with four strikeouts. Kaleb Haley and Dylan McLone each pitched 1.0 innings.
