GREENWOOD, Ind. - After a strong showing at the conference and national level in 2026, the William Woods Baseball team continues to impress. Four members were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team, a new high for the baseball program.
Senior pitcher
Keith Piepmeier, sophomore infielder
Cam Casso, junior outfielder
Kaden Kinsler, and junior infielder
Colby Caton were recognized for their hard work on and off the field this season. Kinsler and Caton are now the only two-time recipients of the honor in program history, while Piepmeier tallied a first appearance on the team in his final season, and Casso the first of his young career. Kinsler, a 2025 Second Team Academic All-American® as well, has been nominated for the prestigious Academic All-American® status again in 2026, which will be announced on June 23rd.Â
The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
