Kinsler Earns Second Consecutive CSC Academic All-America® Honor

Greenwood, Ind. - William Woods Baseball junior outfielder Kaden Kinsler has been named College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-America® for the second consecutive year, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Kinsler's 2025 appearance was the first for an Owls baseball player since Tyler Cunningham made the first team in 2018.

The Elsberry, Mo. native has furthered the tradition of excellence at William Woods University as a member of the Business Administration program. Beyond his academic success, Kinsler has been a headache for opposing pitchers since first donning the green and white. In his 2026 campaign, the junior posted a .329 batting average, tallying team highs in runs (47), RBIs (44), home runs (10), triples (5), slugging (.634), walks (36), and stolen bases (20). On the defensive side, Kinsler manned center field with a .992 fielding percentage and 119 putouts.

Behind the stellar play of Kinsler, WWU Baseball finished third in their inaugural season as Heart of America Athletic Conference members and second in the conference tournament. Such an effort earned the Owls their first NAIA national tournament appearance since 2015, and first under Head Coach John Cavness.

Kinsler was an All-Heart of America Honorable Mention and Golden Glove member for his work in center field. He is just the third Owl to earn multiple Academic All-America® nods, and will have a chance to be one of two named to three teams during his final season.
