FAYETTE, Mo. – (Results) The William Woods University men's track and field team battled cold temperatures and strong wind during the two-day CMU Invite hosted by Central Methodist University. The Owls finished with 14 top-10 finishes, 13 new PRs and two new names in the WWU record book.
 
 
Hurdles

• Easton Ambler and Rodney Cherilus added their names to the WWU record book in the 110-meter hurdles. Ambler placed seventh with a 16:03 time for a PR and a second-place mark in the record book. Cherlius set a new PR and moved to third in the WWU record book with his eighth place, 16.49 finish. Riley Solan placed ninth with a 16.71 time.
• Riley Solan placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a 58.73 time. Easton Ambler placed ninth with a 1:01.36 time.

 
Distance

• Ian Schwierjohn picked up two top-eight finishes. He placed fourth in the 1500-meter run (4:16.00) and eighth in the 800-meter run (2:02.01).
• Dustin Russell placed fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a 10.47.99 time.

 
Relays

• The 4x800-meter relay team, comprised of Dustin Russell, Jenson Starr, Layne Norris, Landon Dunlap, placed third with a 8:58.58 finish.
• The 4x100-meter relay team, comprised of Charles Pickens, Rodney Cherilus, Riley Solan, Carlos Gomez, placed eighth with a 46.86 time.

 
Jumps

• Charles Pickens grabbed two top-10 finishes – sixth in the long jump (6.22m) and ninth in the triple jump (12.40m).

 
Throws

• Daulton Melton grabbed two top-10 finishes – seventh in the discus (43.48m) and ninth in the hammer throw (45.21m).
