Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FULTON, Mo. – The (#23) William Woods University women's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with a with matches against NCAA Division I Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (SIUE) and Missouri Valley College. Prior to the SIUE match, the Owls honored graduate Hannah Meyer.
 
The Owls suffered a 7-0 loss to NCAA D1 SIUE Friday. On Saturday, the Owls attempted to finish out their match versus MVC before the storm rolled through, but lightening cut the match short before the clinch point.

• The Owls led 3-0 at the time of lightening.
• Hanna Lindeboom put the Owls up 1-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the one.
• Lena Greefs finished next, grabbing a 6-0, 6-1 win in the three.
• Eline Drent scored the final Owls' point of the day, winning 6-1, 6-3 in the four.
• Marta Calvo Larraz was up 6-1, 5-4 before lightening came in range, forcing the match to end early.

 
 

The Owls begin postseason play on Wednesday, April 19, at the Unaffiliated Grouping AMC/HAAC/Sooner Conference Tournament. Matches will begin at 9 a.m. at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo.
