JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The William Woods University men's track and field team set 17 PRs and made three additions to the WWU record book at the Lincoln Open hosted by Lincoln University.
 
 

Mid-Distance

• Landon Dunlap grabbed a win in the 800m with a 1:54.00 PR. The time moved him to third in the WWU record book.
• Dunlap missed the NAIA "B" Standard by .37 seconds in the 1500m run. He placed fourth with a 3:55.37 time.
• Ian Schwierjohn placed seventh in the 1500m run (4:01.72) and 12^th in the 800m run (2:00.69).

 
Distance

• Jenson Starr placed second in the 10,000m run, PRing with a 32:36.42 time.
• Dustin Russell placed eighth for a new PR in the 5000m run with a 17:01.02 time.
• Layne Norris rounded out the top 10 in the 5000m with an 18:50.28 time.

 
Hurdles

• Riley Solan grabbed two eighth-place PR finishes in hurdle events. He moved to second in the WWU record book in the 400m hurdles with a 58.16 finish and fifth in the record book for the 110m hurdles with a 16.68 finish.
• Rodney Cherilus placed ninth in the 110m hurdles with a 16.77 time.
• Easton Ambler rounded out the top 10 in the 110 hurdles with a 17.45 time.

 
Relays

• The 4x400-meter relay team, comprised of Riley Solan, Landon Dunlap, Easton Ambler, Carlos Gomez, placed sixth with a time of 3:32.07.

 
Jumps

• Jacob Polacek grabbed an eighth-place finish in the high jump with a 1.65m jump.
• Charles Pickens placed 15^th in the long jump with a 5.96m jump.
• Tyler Winslett had two PRs in the high jump and the long jump.

 
Throws

• Daulton Melton was the only thrower for the Owls at the Open. He finished eighth in the discus with a 43.10m throw. He PR'd in the shot put with a 13.20m hurl for 13^th.

 
 
 

The Owls compete in their final regular season meet on Friday, April 14, at the UCM Mule Relays hosted by University of Central Missouri.
