Hanna Lindeboom won one singles matchup in her final ITA Cup appearance, with the tournament taking place from Thursday to Sunday at Rome Tennis Center.
In four years as an Owl, Lindeboom qualified three times for the ITA Cup singles competition. Lindeboom advanced to the ITA Cup as a singles finalist in the ITA Central-West Regionals.
Playing a tight three-set Round of 16 matchup Thursday, unseeded Lindeboom lost 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 to unseeded Jimena Ramirez Llorens of Grace College. Lindeboom made sure she got a win, beating unseeded Maria Ange Ortega Mateu of Lindsey Wilson College in the consolation quarterfinals Friday; Lindeboom won the first set 7-5 before Ortega Mateu retired due to injury. Coming close to advancing to the consolation final, Lindeboom lost 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) to unseeded Anna Bintsarovaskaya of the University of St. Francis in Saturday's semifinals.
The ITA Cup was the final event of William Woods' fall schedule.
