In its inaugural season, William Woods University earned two of the Heart of America Athletic Conference's postseason superlative awards and had two all-conference selections, announced the Heart in a release Friday.

Receiving half of the Owls' four awards, Vinny DeMarco was named Heart Co-Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-conference as an attacker. Joseph Ceto also took home a superlative honor, Heart Assistant Coach of the Year, while Ethan NewMyer was selected as a second-team all-conference midfielder.

In his final season, DeMarco played 13 games and registered 61 goals (second in NAIA), 25 assists (21st in NAIA), 86 points (fourth in NAIA), 182 shots (second in NAIA) and 106 shots on goal (second in NAIA).

Ceto assisted The Woods to a conference tournament berth, earning the No. 6 seed in the Heart Tournament with a regular season record of 5-4 in conference play.

NewMyer, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, notched the Owls' second-most goals (35), shots (96), shots on goal (63) and third-most points (45) and assists (10) this year.
