Greenwood, Ind. - Excelling on the field and in the classroom during William Woods University's inaugural lacrosse season,
Ethan NewMyer and
David Wiley picked up their first College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® honors, selected to the NAIA Men's At-Large team, announced CSC in a release Tuesday.
NewMyer, a junior who also received second-team All-Heart of America Athletic Conference as a midfielder, tallied the Owls' second-most goals (35), shots (96), shots on goal (63) and third-most points (45) and assists (10) this season. Senior Wiley led WWU in ground balls (68) and game-winning goals (2) and ranked third on the team in goals (24), shots (79) and shots on goal (47) on the year.
