FORT WORTH, Tx. – Following their Saturday split with Sterling, William Woods (1-2) was set to face off with host Texas Wesleyan (8-1), looking to continue their winning way from yesterday. Despite their momentum coming into the game, the Owls would fall to the Rams 6-2.
Texas Wesleyan would jump out to a quick lead over the Owls, as the pitching staff for the Rams would shut down the Owls despite the many opportunities the Owls had on the base paths. The Rams would jump out to a 5-0 lead over the Owls.
At the start of the seventh innings,
Ryan Retone and
Sam Russo each recorded a base hit and an RBI for the Owls to cut into the lead 5-2. Despite the last-minute effort, the Owls would fall to Texas Wesleyan 6-2.
Jakob Koehn got the ball for the Owls, going 4 innings, striking out 3, and giving up 3 runs on 6 hits.
Jude Gremillion would account for 2 of the 3 hits for the Owls, with

The Owls will look to regroup this week as they have their home opener this weekend at Owls Field, as they will take on Viterbo on Friday for a 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. doubleheader.
