HANNIBAL, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team has a quick turnaround from Sunday's home game, as the team looks to capture another American Midwest Conference (AMC) win against Hannibal-LaGrange University on Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.

In the Owls (4-5-2; 3-1-2) last outing, the team put on a completely dominating display at Firley Field, in a game that saw five different players score a goal, as WWU amassed 29 shots on the night.

Junior,
Sarah Krispin got William Woods on the board in the 15
th minute by lacing the ball in the upper corner of the goal, giving the Owls an early lead 1-0.

Shortly after,
Rachel Meyer and
Haley Pipes connected with teammate
Jordan McNamara, extending the Owls lead 2-0 at the 18
th minute mark. Less than a minute later, McNamara added her second goal of the night, giving WWU a 3-0 advantage and pushing her total to eight goals on the season.

The Owls offensive didn't stop there, while
Mackenzie Cork and
Jaclyn Zilch handed out their first assists of the season, while they connected with junior,
Annie Graber, making the lead 4-0 in the Owls favor.

The Stars would keep WWU scoreless the rest of the half, despite being outshot 21 to one.

In the final frame of the match-up it was more Owls offense, as Cork collected her second assist of the night, connecting with
Rachel Meyer, who headed a ball past SC goaltender.

Senior,
Amy Faus would get into the action in the 56
th minute, as she recorded her first goal of the season and securing the Owls a 6-0 defeat against the Stars.

WWU was just as dominate on the defensive side of the ball as they were on offense. The Owls held Stephens College to just five shots on the night. Goalkeeper,
Ashley Parisi, played all 90:00 minutes to collect her second shutout of the season and tallied three saves.

On the season, McNamara continues to lead the Owls in several categories, which include goals (eight), shots (37), and points (19).
Brittainy German and Krispin, are second on the team in goals (four) and points (nine), while Meyer has recorded three goals, which is third best on the team and also leads the team in assists with five.

In its previous meeting against Hannibal-LaGrange, the Owls scored a game-tying goal in the 75
th minute to force a 2-2 tie. WWU was lead by Meyer, who recorded a goal and four shots, while McNamara, also collected a goal and tacked on two shots.

The Lady Trojans (4-6; 3-2 AMC) return all three of its leading scorers from last season, Stephanie Hall (seven), Sarah Hammock (six) and Juliana Lopes Roberto (five). HLG also returns Jamie Helfer in the net, who saw action in four games and collected 13 saves in the 2013 season.

Hannibal-LaGrange is currently right behind the Owls in AMC standings, as they are 4-3 in conference and 5-7 overall. In its last outing, the Lady Trojans, defeated Freed-Hardeman in a close 2-1 decision.

Lopes Roberto, a Sao Paulo, Brazil native leads HLG offensively this season, as she has collected five goals, 28 shots and 14 points. Senior, Marion Bravo is second on the team in goals (three) and shots (26). In the net, Helfer, has recorded 55 saves in 1082:00 minutes of play.
