FAYETTE, Mo.- The William Woods University women's soccer team looks for redemption against non-conference foe Central Methodist University, Thursday night and attempt to extend its win streak to five games. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Owls (7-5-2; 6-1-2 AMC) are coming off a four game winning streak, which includes three staggering shutouts in those four wins, while outscoring their opponents 15-1 in the process.

In the team's last outing Tuesday night, WWU rolled past Harris-Stowe State University 4-0, in an American Midwest Conference (AMC) match-up that saw four different Owls score a goal, while two players scored their first goal of the season.

William Woods accumulated 23 shots, while holding the Hornets to just three. HSSU didn't have an answer against the stellar offensive play by the Owls in the first half, as WWU would score all four of the team's goals of the night in the first frame.

Offensively, the Owls were led by American Midwest Conference (AMC) Offensive Player of the Week,
Jordan McNamara, as she recorded four shots and a goal, while
Haley Pipes added three shots and a goal and
Ashley Deckard would also hand out two assists on the night, pushing her total to six.

On the season, McNamara continues to lead the way, totaling 12 goals, tying her season total in 2013. The Blue Springs, Missouri, native, has also totaled three assists, for a team-high 27 points and also leads WWU in shots, earning 51.

Rachel Meyer, is second on the team in goals (five) and assists (five) on the season.

Sarah Krispin are third on the team in goals, finding the back of the net four times, while Deckard leads the team in assists with six on the year.Â

In the previous meeting against CMU, in a game that saw stoppage of play due to lighting earlier this year at Firley Field, the Owls suffered a pair of late goals, falling 2-0 to the Eagles.

Both teams' came out of the delay very strong, as the Owls defense was able to hold Central Methodist University scoreless for the first half, but it didn't come easy, as the Eagles collected nine shots, while WWU was limited to one.

After 70 minutes of scoreless play, Fernanda Ramirez, found the back of the net, giving CMU the 1-0 lead. The Eagles would then poke another goal into the net, with less than a minute to play, which secured a 2-0 shutout win for CMU.

Sophomore goalkeeper,
Brittany Griffin collected a season-high nine saves on the night.
CMU comes into the match-up with a 8-3-3 overall record on the year and are 1-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC), as the Eagles are currently on a two game losing streak.Â
On the season, Nicki Noreen leads the Eagles in goals (nine) and points (23), while Kelsey Vanzant has added seven goals, which is second best on the team. In the net, Sam Savio has recorded 43 saves in 14 games of play.

The Owls go into this match-up with momentum and in hope to capture the team's first win against CMU since 2008.
