LAWRENCE, Kan. - The William Woods University men's basketball team will return to action and look to get back to its winning ways, as the team pays a visit to Haskell Indian Nations University Saturday evening. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.

The Owls (3-6 1-2AMC) are coming off a cold night of shooting in a 82-53 loss against Williams Baptist College last Saturday night. WWU couldn't overcome a hot Eagles offense, as four WBC players ended the night in double-digits, which saw both Abel Yekeh and James McClain recorded a game-high 21 points and handed the Owls its second consecutive conference loss.

WWU struggled all night from the floor, hitting just 36 percent of its shots and a 15 percent from downtown, while the Eagles shot a blistering 56 percent from the floor and were lights out from beyond the arc, going 12-of-21 (57 percent).

DJ Johnson led the Owls on the evening, recording another double-digit night with 12 points. WWU freshman, Dickey, chipped in 11 points, as he went 50 percent from the floor and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe on the night. For the second consecutive game,
Jarett Boss had a great performance off the bench, netting 10 points.

On the season,
Ryan Hill and Johnson both lead the team offensively, averaging 12.1 points per game. Hill, the St. Louis, Missouri native, is shooting a 56.4 percent from the floor and going 10-of-21 from beyond the arc. Johnson, the Owls forward is shooting a 59 percent from the field and also leads the team in rebounds with 57 on the year.

Two other key players for WWU are
Nate Bitner and Boss, who are averaging 10.9 and 10.0 points per game, respectively. Bitner, the Kearney, Missouri native, has scored in double-digits in three of the Owls last four games. Boss, has been a spark off the bench, as the guard has scored in double-digits in the last five match-ups and shooting a 41 percent from the floor.

Haskell Indian Nations are currently 1-11 on the season and have lost three of its last four games. In the teams' last outing, they fell to Saint Mary University, 100-82.Â

On the season the Indians are led by Stand Lovato, who is averaging 16 points per game and shooting over a 40 percent from both the field and three-point line. Lovato, scored a career-high 35 points early this season and has scored in double digits in every game this season except for two.

Two other players the Owls will have to keep an eye on are Randy July and Zach Bruns. July, is averaging 12 points and 6.5 rebounds a game, while Bruns has added 10 points per game.
