	PARKVILLE, Mo. -- The William Woods University baseball team collected a pair of American Midwest Conference victories on Tuesday afternoon, as they swept a doubleheader against Park University.
	William Woods (16-5, 5-3 AMC) picked up a 4-2 victory in game one, before taking a 9-4 decision over Park University (7-10, 5-3 AMC) in the afternoon's final game. The pair of wins lifts the Owls conference record back over the .500 mark.  Tuesday was the first of two dates that these two programs will meet this year, as Park will make a return trip to Owls Field on April 1.
	Zach Nichols and Cody Stewart each had a four-hit day for WWU, as the duo collected a pair of two-hit performances in the doubleheader sweep.  William Woods also got a pair of stellar starts from Dustin Kremer and Bubba Bradshaw, as the both starter gave up just two runs each in of their starts to pick up a pair of wins.
	Game One Recap
	William Woods plated a couple of first inning runs, and added two more in the top of the third, and that would prove to be more than enough to overcome Park University in game one, as they picked up a 4-2 win.
	The Owls got a solid offensive performance form Cody Stewart and Zach Nichols, as the duo picked up a pair of hits to lead a WWU team that posted eight hits in the victory. Nichols was one of three Owls to pick up an RBI on the day to go along with his 2-for -3 performance at the plate.
	For Stewart, the two hits kept his 12-game hitting streak alive. It is also the second straight multi-hit game, and is the 10th game this season he has pounded out two or more hits.
	Dustin Kremer made his first career start for WWU, and had a solid performance by going 4.1 innings, giving up just two run on six hits, to pick up his second win on the year. James Ball came out of the bullpen and threw 2.2 scoreless innings to pick up his sixth save of the year. Ball has been lights out from to pen recently, as he has allowed just one run over his last 10.1 innings of work.
	For Park University, they were able to out-hit the Owls, 9-8, as catcher Jake Smith collected a team-high two hits in the game one loss. JoJo Garcia-Fortuna and Christian Torres drove posted one RBI each in the fifth inning to score the team's only runs.
	Derek Gordon picked up the loss for the Pirates, putting his record at 2-3 on the year. The starter allowed a pair of runs in the first and third inning, as he gave up all eight WWU hits in his six-inning outing.
	Game Two Recap
	William Woods posted four straight scoring innings to come back from a 2-0 deficit, and complete the doubleheader sweep of Park University, winning game two, 9-4.
	After the Pirates plated two innings in the bottom of the second, WWU scored one in the third, three in both the fourth and fifth innings, and two in the sixth to build a 9-3 advantage. Park would plate another run in the bottom of the seventh, but the Owls' bullpen held the Pirates hitless for the final two innings to secure the two-game sweep for William Woods, and taking game two, 9-4.
	Like game one, Cody Stewart and Zach Nichols posted a two-hit performance in game two. Nick Spagonla joined the duo in the two-hit department by going 2-for-4 with two RBI's. Spagnola was one of three Owls to collected two RBI's, as Dustin Kremer and Derek Fletcher drove in two runs apiece.
	Stewart's two-hit performance extended his season-high hitting streak to 13 games, and gives the speedy centerfielder his third straight multi-hit game. The Temecula, Calif., native is hitting .480 (24-for-50) during the 13-game hitting streak.
	Matt Thomas posted one of the Owls' 10 hits on the day, as he was able to go 1-for-4 from the plate after his 10-game hitting streak was snapped in game one of the series.
	Bubba Bradshaw turned in his best outing in his William Woods career on Tuesday, by throwing a career-high 6.1 innings and striking out a career-best four batters, to pick up his second win of the year. The righty gave up four runs, but only two were earned, and he did not walk a batter in his longest outing at WWU.
	Dylan Hastings and Zach Nichols came in relief of Bradshaw, as the duo combined for six strikeouts and allowed no hits in 2.2 innings to keep the Pirates off the scoreboard. As a team, WWU pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts and allowed just one walk in the nine-inning win.
	Christian Torres went a perfect 3-for-3 in game two, and drove in two runs in a losing effort. The right fielder was one of two Pirates to collect a multi-hit game, as they posted eight hits of William Woods pitching.
	Alex Thornton got the first start of his career at Park and suffered the loss. Thornton moves to 1-1 on the year, as he allowed four unearned run and four hits in four innings of work.
	The Owls return to action this weekend, as they travel to St. Louis for a three-game set against Harris-Stowe State University. William Woods will kick-off the three-game series on Friday afternoon with a 2 p.m. start, and conclude on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
