Coming out of the second half, WWU had a solid start, with three minutes into the final frame, a costly foul by the Pirates set up a penalty kick for WWU. Senior, Rachel Meyer took the penalty kick, as she found the net past Park's goaltender, making the Owls lead 2-0.

MVC is currently 4-1-1 on the season, as they have outscored its opponents 17-6. In its last outing, the Vikings defeated St. Ambrose 4-1. The team was led by freshman Inma Martinez, who recorded her second career hat-trick and collected six points in the team win.

"I hope that we can continue to have a great team shape in our attack and defense," expresses Hall. "The team has really been working hard to process and internalize what we are asking of each of the roles within the group to better our team dynamic and become a sum that is greater than our individual parts."

Hall is expecting his squad to carry the momentum gained from its win last night into Friday's match-up against the Vikings. "We must simply do as we have been doing and finish (shoot) with the quality that we did last night." said Hall. "Our game in general, has been excellent throughout the season, we just have to keep filling up the net and the results should always be on our side."
