Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team captured its first win on the 2014 season, on Sunday afternoon in dominating fashion, as they defeated cross town rival, Westminster College 7-0.

The Owls (1-2) put on a completely stellar performance on Sunday afternoon at Firley Field, as they had five different players score a goal. It was all WWU's offense during the match-up, as the team totaled 38 shots on the afternoon, while holding Westminster College to nine.

Jordan McNamara, who recorded her second career hat-trick against WC, got the team on the board first in the 12
th minute, by finding the back of the net, off an assist from teammate
Ashley Deckard, giving the Owls a 1-0 lead. Â

Shortly after, McNamara tallied her second assist on the year, as she connected with
Sarah Krispin at the 13:47 mark, making the score 2-0 in favor of the Owls.

In the last minutes of the first half,
Kaitlyn Wideman collected her first goal on the season, as Deckard handed out her second assist of the day, giving the Owls a 3-0 advantage at the break.

The offense was nearly unstoppable in the first frame, as the team totaled 21 shots, while the defense stood strong and limited the Blue Jays to just two.

The Owls offense picked up right where it left off in the second half, as at the 52:51 minute mark, McNamara headed the ball past Westminster's goalkeeper Ellen Woosley, off an assist from
Amy Faus to extend the Owls lead 4-0.

In the 58
th minute, seniors,
Brittainy German and
Jamie Palermo, linked with McNamara, for her third goal of the day, giving WWU a 5-0 advantage.

A pair of Owls also collected their first goal of the season on Sunday, as
Jaclyn Zilch scored off an assist from freshman teammate,
Jill Turner in the 82
nd minute and
Jenna Vogt scored with two minutes remaining, securing WWU a 7-0 home opener victory.

"It is a luxury to have a number of great and quality players to call upon," said head coach
Randy Hall. "The depth we have to utilize at a good level is a testament to a team victory."

The Owls were led by McNamara, as she tied her career high seven points, with three goals and one assist, while also adding 10 shots, eight of which were on goal.Â

Sarah Krispin and Turner were second on the team in shots (four), while Deckard and
Casey Kesselheim contributed three.

Saint Charles Community College transfer,
Ashley Parisi recorded her first career shutout as an Owl in the net, recording two saves.

Hall added, "Everyone worked hard on both sides in this team win today."

The Owls will look for its second consecutive win on Tuesday night, as they host Central Methodist University. Kick-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
