PARKVILLE, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team looks to win its third straight American Midwest Conference game on Saturday, as the team pays a visit to Park University. Tip-off for the game will start at 4:00 p.m.

The Owls (6-10; 3-5 AMC) are coming off a 78-50 victory over AMC newcomer St. Louis College of Pharmacy last night, as the team shot 48 percent in the game, while holding the Eutectics to a mere 31 percent. Nate Bitner totaling 15 point, as he tied his career-high five made three-pointers in a game.

Owls leading scorer,
Ryan Hill added 12 points and six rebounds, while
Austin Lowery, netted 10 points in the Owls victory. He also handed out a game-high six assists, which pushes his total on the year to a team-high 53.

The last Owl to score in double-digits was senior,
Derrick Hayes, who also recorded 10 points on the night, as he went an astonishing 5-of-6 from the field.

In the last two games, the Owls offense has been performing well, averaging 71 points per game and shooting 45 percent. Hill has been solid from the flooring, shooting 56 percent and netting double-figures in both games.
Jarett Boss and
Nate Bitner have also been major factors on the court.

The Pirates are currently 5-6 on the year and 4-3 in the AMC, which they have won 4-of-6 of their last conference match-ups, most recent was a 100-87 win over Missouri Baptist University but also including two big AMC wins over Lyon College and Lindenwood-Belleville who are in the top of the AMC standings.

On the season, Park is led by Freddie Manyawu, who is averaging 11.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Manyawu, has also scored in double-figures in the Pirates last four games. John Kotsanos is second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.7 points per game and is coming off a career-high 21 points performance last night against MBU.

Statistically both WWU and Park are relatively similar, having the same field goal percentage (44 percent) and points per game (67). However, the Owls will look to control the boards against Park, as William Woods has totaled 595 rebounds on the season, while the Pirates have just 377.

"We can't have less than our best performance and go to Park tomorrow and expect to have success," said head coach
Nick Totta. " We just need to make a few adjustments, which most of them are mental and we should come out on top."
