Box Score MOBILE, Ala. – The William Woods University Women's Tennis season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship. The Owlsl were defeated by second seed Auburn Montgomery, 5-0, on Thursday morning at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The Owls fell behind early as Auburn Montgomery took all three doubles matches. In No. 1 doubles, Paula Diaz and Anna Rudolfova defeated
Karyna Sagalai and
Paige Smith, 8-3. Celine Lenertz and Kelly Southwood defeated
Chelsea Steward and
Julia Mulder, 8-3. The Owls put up a fight in No. 3 doubles but
Felicia Cesar and
Alba Salinas were defeated 8-5.
Auburn Montgomery finished off the Owls as Iris Verweij won No. 3 singles over
Paige Smith, 6-0, 6-0. The Warhawks clinched the match by winning No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-0 where Anna Rudolfova defeated
Julia Mulder.
The rest of the matches went unfinished.
Karyna Sagalai trailed 6-1, 2-2. Chelsea steward trailed 6-1, 3-1, in No. 2 singles.
Alba Salinas won the first set 6-3, but trailed 5-0 in set two, in No. 4 singles and
Felicia Cesar trailed 6-1, 4-3 when the matches were called.
