FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team returns home to host Avila University on March 22nd for a non-conference single nine inning game first pitch to be thrown at 5 p.m.
About the Owls
- The Owls are 11-6 overall with an AMC record of 7-5 currently in fifth place in the AMC
- WWU recently taking the series against Central Baptist College. WWU lost game one of the three game set and rebounded by taking the final two games

- Chase Watt leads the offense in batting average with a 0.344 with a total of 21 hits including 18 walks, nine RBIs, one triple, three doubles, and an on base percentage of a 0.494 with 13 stolen bases
- Brandon Chandler leads the Eagles offense in RBIs as he has driven in a team-high 24 on the season
- Chandler also has the most impressive offensive stats with 13 runs, 28 hits, seven doubles and six homeruns
- Chad Butler leads the Eagles in homeruns, sending seven homeruns over the fence ranking 40th in the NAIA
- Avila holds a team ERA of 5.88 on the season and are allowing opponents to a batting average of .297.
