FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team opens up the 2017 AMC Championship on Wednesday, May 3rd when they play fourth seed Harris-Stowe State University at Freed-Hardeman University. First-pitch is set for 4 p.m.

WWU vs. HSSU Earlier this Season
- The Owls and Hornets played a three game set earlier this season on the campus of Harris-Stowe
- The Owls dropped two-of-three games to the Hornets. WWU won the second game of the series, 10-8
- In the three-game set, the Owls were outscored by one run, 23-22
- Each team hit well over .300 in the series as the Owls hit .339 and the Hornets hit. 348

- William Woods enters the AMC Championship with a record of 25-28 on the season. They earned the fifth seed in the Championship by compiling an AMC record of 16-13 on the season
