FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team hosts No. 8-seed Freed-Hardeman University in the semifinal round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament Monday evening. Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Blue Jay Field on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, Mo.
Admission is $6.00. William Woods game passes are not valid for postseason play.
AMC Tournament
The AMC Tournament went from eight teams to four after Friday's quarterfinal round. FHU was the only upset of the tournament, knocking out No. 1-seed Missouri Baptist with a 2-0 win. No. 2 Columbia shut out Lyon, 4-0, and No. 3 Park defeated Harris-Stowe, 4-1.
The Owls advanced to the semifinal round with their 1-0 shutout over Lindenwood-Belleville.
The two winners of the semifinal round will meet in the championship match on Thursday, November 8. The highest remaining seed will host.

Freed-Hardeman University
FHU is 8-8-1 on the season and finished in eighth place in the AMC with a 5-7 mark. They have had three double-overtime games and one overtime game.
The Lions have outscored their opponents 44-29, and Hannah Bilger leads the team with 12 goals.

The Owls defeated FHU 5-2 earlier in the season.
Abby Prather-Turner and
Aurora Henriksen netted two goals apiece.
All-time against the Lions
The Owls first faced FHU in Tennessee on Oct. 15, 2013 when they defeated the Lions 3-1.
The Owls hold a 6-0 series lead over FHU and have allowed them just four goals in the five year span.
This will be the first time the Owls see the Lions in post-season play.
William Woods
The Owls enter the contest with an 11-6-2 record. The team finished fourth in conference play with an 8-2-2 mark.
The Owls are 9-9-2 overall in AMC Tournament play and are looking for their second-straight tournament final appearance.

Brianna Morrow was named AMC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week during week two,
Shelby Scanlan was named Offensive Player of the Week during week five,
Abby Prather-Turner was named Defensive Player of the Week during week seven and
McKenzie Gourley was named Offensive Player of the Week during week 10.
