FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team hosts Central Baptist College in American Midwest Conference action on Friday and Saturday at Owl Field. This will be the Owls AMC openers. First-pitch for Friday's doubleheader is set for 3 p.m. Saturday is scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls enter the competition with an overall record of 13-5 and undefeated in the AMC at 3-0
- WWU is on a six-game winning streak
- William Woods is coming off a doubleheader sweep of Baker University on Tuesday.
- The Owls have collected 34 stolen bases which is 26th in the NAIA. Glen DesBouillons leads the team with six
- Dany Paradis-Giroux has four wins under his belt and is ranked No.2 in the nation in wins. He has an ERA of 1.09 in 24.2 innings pitched and 25 strikeouts
- Tyler Cunningham is leading the Owls in RBIs with 25, which is third in the NAIA. He also is ninth in the NAIA in homeruns with five and 12th in the NAIA in doubles with eight
- Tyler Bracht is leading the Owls in batting average with a .391 and an on base percentage of .429
- The Owls pitching staff has an ERA of 3.63 and opponents are hitting .276. They have also collected 117 strikeouts
- The Owls have four players hitting over .300 on the season. Besides Bracht, Nolan Aherin is hitting .321, Tyler Cunningham is hitting, .316 and Patrick Dillon is hitting .310
- Taran Oulton leads the Owls pitching staff in ERA and innings pitched. In four starts, he has two complete games and has pitched 25 innings. He has an ERA of 0.72 on the season
 
About the Mustangs
- The Mustangs enter the three-game series with an overall record of 8-8 and are 1-2 in the AMC
- The Mustangs come into the game against the Owls on a two-game winning streak, as they swept a doubleheader against Crowley's Ridge, 9-4 and 11-0, on Tuesday
- CBC currently finds themselves 26th in the NAIA in batters struck out with 131. Ben Madison leads the staff with 42 and is averaging 14 strikeouts per appearance
- Brett Luna leads the team in batting average with a .371 and has collected 13 hits. He also has one double one RBI and four walks
- The Mustangs pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.70 on the season. Ben Madison has the lowest ERA on the team with an ERA of 2.03
- As a team the Mustangs are hitting .225 on the season with 18 doubles, and five home runs
- Trae Bobo leads the Mustangs in runs batted in as he has nine on the season
