FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball concludes their home schedule with their series against the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University on April 20 and 21. The Owls and Hornets meet for a doubleheader on Friday starting at 4 p.m. and a single game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
 
On Saturday, the Owls will honor its 10 senior members prior to the start of the contest.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls are 27-18 on the season, with an American Midwest Conference record of 15-9 and are currently sitting fifth in the AMC standings
- WWU is looking to break their three game losing streak
- The Owls are currently 38th in the NAIA in doubles collecting 79 doubles. Nolan Aherin leading the team with 19, 8th best in the nation  
- Glen DesBouillons leads the Owls in stolen bases collecting 12 in the season
- The Owls have collected 81 stolen bases in the season. WWU has four players with ten or more stolen bases and 13 players with a stolen base
- Frankie Valle is 11th in the nation in triples, collecting five in the season. Tyler Cunningham and Marquise Doherty are following with two triples apiece
-Tyler Cunningham is leading the Owls in RBIs with 42. Cunningham is 11 RBIs away from tying Jordan Dey for fifth most in a single season in WWU history
- Cunningham also leads the team in runs scored (36) and homeruns (8). With his eight home runs this season, Cunningham has hit the fifth most in school history
- The Owls pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.17, 37th best in the nation
- Taran Oulton leads the Owls with a 2.24 ERA. Oulton also leads the team in wins (7), innings pitched (76.1), and strikeouts (65)
 
About the Hornets
- The Hornets are 28-18 and are 13-10 in the AMC
- HSSU sits in sixth place in the AMC standings, a game and a half behind the Owls
- Harris-Stowe as dropped its last two ball games. It last played on April 17 when they lost to NCAA Division II University of Missouri – St. Louis, 10-4
- The Hornets are 13th in the nation in stolen bases collecting 99 in the season. Eddie McDaniels leads the team with 30 stolen bases in 35 attempts, 7th best in the NAIA
-HSSU's pitching staff is 14th in both ERA and strikeouts with a 3.50 ERA and 358 batters struck out
- Stephen Wells leads the Hornets in strikeouts with 69 on the season. Teammate Alec Hutt follows with 68 punch-outs on the season
- The Hornets pitching staff has five pitchers with 50 or more strikeouts on the season
-Tanner Disibio leads the staff collecting nine wins, fifth best in the nation. Disibio has an ERA of 2.74 on the season
- The Hornets offense is ranked 21st in the NAIA in RBIs collecting 289 RBIs
- Cole Danielson leads the team with 41 RBIs and batting average with .370 and 50 hits. Danielson has also collected 10 homeruns, two triples, nine doubles, 37 walks, and has an on base percentage of .519
- As a team, the Hornets are hitting .293 on the season with 40 home runs. Twelve different Hornets have hit a home run this season
 
What's Next
Following the series with the Hornets, the Owls will travel to St. Louis, Missouri to face the Spartans of Missouri Baptist University on April 27 for a doubleheader to start at 1 p.m. The series against Missouri Baptist will close out the AMC season for the Owls.
