FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team returns to action Feb. 16 as they take on Central Baptist. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
About Central Baptist
The Mustangs enter the contest 17-9 overall and 10-9 in the AMC which puts them in fifth place. They are one of seven teams who have clinched a sport in the American Midwest Conference Tournament.
Their last time out they feel 71-59 to Columbia on Feb. 14. The contest against the Owls is their last road game of the regular season.
Percell Washington has been on a tear this season. He was named AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week during week eight where he averaged 21ppg, 11.5rebs and 2 blocks. During that same week he also shot 70.8% from the field and 88.9% from the foul line. Washington is also leading scoring for the Mustangs averaging 17.3ppg. He scored a season high 25 points in their first meeting against WWU.
Also playing strong for the Mustangs is Victor Dukes. His 16.9ppg puts him third on the team in scoring. So far this season he has been named AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week twice; his first during week four and his second during week nine. On Jan. 15, Dukes grabbed a career high 21 rebounds in their victory over Harris-Stowe. He also scored a season high 31 points against Adams St.
About William Woods
The Owls have been in a slump over the month of February, losing three of their last five games. They suffered back-to-back losses to Lincoln College and Harris-Stowe before defeating Lindenwood-Belleville on Feb. 12. Since then, they have dropped to third place in the AMC and are .5 games behind Hannibal-LaGrange.
Andrew Nett has stepped up big for the Owls. His last time out he scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in their loss to Lyon. He currently sits at 10.3ppg just .5 behind
Treshawn Gause.
Brian Enriquez has played well for WWU over the last few games. On Jan. 8
th he tied his season high 13 points in their victory over Lindenwood-Belleville. Last time out he put up 9 points and 4-9 shooting and snatched down 3 rebounds.

David Johnson Jr. led the Owls with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Gause followed behind with 12 points of his own. Kimble also chipped in 10 points in the contest.
