MONMOUTH, Ill. – The William Woods University men's track and field team competed this Friday evening at the Monmouth hosted by Monmouth College.

Next for the Owls is the AMC Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 19 in Elsah, Ill. hosted by Principia College.
 
In the 800-meter, Landon Dunlap earned another first-place finish, another PR and also improved his time on the second-place at the WWU Record Book with his 1:55.42 finish.
 
Competing in the one-mile run, Ian Schwierjohn recorded a PR with his second-place finish with a 4:36.93 time. Dustin Russell placed sixth with 4:53.74 that was also a personal best.
 
Competing in the distance medley for the Owls was Brian Winkelmann, Landon Dunlap, Dustin Russell, Ian Schwierjohn who finished fourth with a time of 11:44.48.
 
In the 4x200 meter relay, the team was comprised of Kannon Patterson, Jacob Polacek, Rodney Cherilus, Zachary Knopf who placed sixth with a 1:44.35 time.
 
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team was comprised of Rodney Cherilus, Zachary Knopf, Jacob Polacek, Dustin Russell who placed fourth with a time of 3:45.58.
 
Competing in the 60-meter hurdles was Cherilus, who placed fifth with a time of 9.69.
 
In the 60-meter dash, Isaiah Buse finished 10^th with a time of 7.41. Kannon Patterson placed 20^th with a 8.04 time.
 
In the 200-meter dash, Buse grabbed the 15^th place with a time of 25.12. Polacek placed 18^th with a time of 26.22.
 
Competing in the 400-meter dash, Knopf finished in 14^th place with a 58.31 time. Coming right behind him was Polacek in 15^th with a time of 1:02.12.
