GREENWOOD, Ind. - Four members of the William Woods Men's Cross Country and/or Men's Track and Field teams were awarded College Sports Communicators 2025-26 Academic All-District® for their dedicated performances in the classroom and competition. The pair of cross country runners mark the first to receive the honor in program history, while the entire group established a new benchmark as the most Academic All-District® honorees for the track and field team and ended a 10-year drought, with the previous athlete to earn the title in 2015.
Junior
Blaine Brodersen and sophomore
Gabriel Soest wrote their name into a pair of record books, having competed for both the cross country and track and field teams. The pair are helping to set the standard for academic and athletic success in the Owls' running sports by earning their first Academic All-District® nod.
Sophomores
Isiah Craighead and
Nathan Russell, both competitors in the field portion of track and field, also add the honor to their resumes early in their athletic careers.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
