ELSAH, Ill. – Junior Landon Dunlap was selected Outstanding Track Athlete of the Year following an outstanding performance at the AMC Indoor Championships. The Owls finished first in four events while hitting new personal best marks.
 
The Owls finished in third place with 108 points. Missouri Baptist won first place with 163 points and Columbia finished in second with 151.
 
All top three finishes earned all-conference honors. First place is named first team, second place picked second team, and third place is named third team.
 
The Owls had six athletes earned First Team All-Conference, five were selected Second Team All-Conference, and one was named Third Team All-Conference.
 
THROWS
Quentin Webert hit a new PR in both weight throw and shot put. His 15.87-meter throw placed him first while his 12.64-meter toss placed him second. Daulton Melton finished in fifth place in the shot put with a 12.16-meter toss.
 
JUMPS
Charles Pickens finished fifth in the long jump with a 5.93-meter jump. He also placed fourth in the triple jump with a 11.77-meter jump. Jackson Conner's 1.80-meter jump placed him fourth in the high jump.
 
RELAYS
The 4x800 team was comprised of Hunter Carpenter, Ian Schwierjohn, Jackson Conner, Dustin Russell. They placed first with an 8:44.21 time. The DMR team was comprised of Orion Parker, Zachary Knopf, Jenson Starr, Landon Dunlap. They finished in second place with a time of 11:22.01. The 4x400 team was comprised of Dustin Russell, Jackson Conner, Landon Dunlap, Hunter Carpenter. Their 3:43.36 placed them fourth.
 
SPRINTS
In the 60-meters, Isaiah Buse qualified to the finals in second place with a time of 7.36. In the finals he improved his initial time to 7.34 and finished in third place. Dunlap finished second in the 400-meters with a time of 52.11.
 
DISTANCE
In the 600-meter run, Carpenter placed fourth with a 1:30.15 time. Dunlap finished first in both the one-mile run (4:28.29) and the 800-meter run (2:02.21). Schwierjohn placed fourth in both the one-mile run (4:37.62) and the 1000-meter run (2:45.29). Also competing in the 1000-meter run was Conner who finished in fifth place with a time of 2:49.76.
