JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The William Woods University men's track and field competed at the Lincoln Open Saturday afternoon.

Rodney Cherilus placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles improving his personal record with a 16.92 time.
 
Competing in the 1500-meter run, all athletes improved their personal record. Jackson Conner finished in the sixth spot with a time of 4:06.00. Hunter Carpenter finished in the eighth place with a time of 4:07.46. Ian Schwierjohn placed 10^th with a time of 4:08.03.
 
In the 800-meter run, Schwierjohn finished fifth with a time of 2:01.52 (PR). Carpenter also improved his personal best with a 2:02.77 time.
 
Daulton Melton finished seventh in the discus with a 42.15-meter throw. He also placed 10^th in the hammer with a 42.28-meter throw.
 
In the long jump, Charles Pickens improved his best mark with a 6.19-meter jump.
 
In the high jump, Conner finished fifth and Jacob Polacek finished sixth. Both with a 1.70-meter jump.
 
In the 5000-meter run, Jenson Starr finished in the sixth place with a 16:03.54 (PR) time. Orion Parker finished in the ninth spot with a time of 17:06.49. Dustin Russell crossed the finish line right behind him in the 10^th spot with a time of 17:13.81.
 
The 4x100 Meter Relay team was comprised of Rodney Cherilus, Charles Pickens, Jacob Polacek, and Isaiah Buse. They finished fifth with a time of 45.56.

The Owls will compete next at the UCM Mule Relays on Friday, Apr. 15 at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg, Mo.
