FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team held on for a 73-70 home win over Central Baptist College Saturday afternoon. The Owls improve to 12-10 on the season and put their conference record at .500 (6-6).

The Owls travel to Harris-Stowe State University for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off on Thursday, Feb. 9.

93.33 – The Owls went 14-15 from the foul line in the second half, finishing with a 93.33%.

Nathan Schwartze put up a team-high 21 points while going 12-for-13 from the foul line. He scored 15 in the first half.

Darius Yohe pulled down a team-high 12 boards with nine coming from the defensive end.

A 6-0 Owls' run early in the game gave the team an 8-2 lead five minutes in, but CBC responded with a 7-0 run to take hold of the lead, 12-10.

Jared Crutcher and Robinson put the Owls up by six, but CBC closed out the half with a 7-0 run to take a one-point lead heading into halftime, 30-29.
CBC opened the second half with an 8-0 run, pushing out a nine-point lead just under two minutes in, 38-29.
The Owls' put together an 8-0 run to cut the game to two five minutes in, and a 6-0 run minutes later evened the score at 47, all.
The Owls finally took hold of the lead with a jumper from Robinson with eight minutes to play.
A 12-1 run over a three-minute span put the Owls up by 10 with just 3:06 left on the clock, 68-58.
CBC quickly hit back-to-back threes to cut the game to four, and with two more back-to-back threes, they brought the game to one with 33 seconds on the clock, 71-70.
Mike Robinson went 2-2 from the line to put the Owls up by three with 19 seconds to play. CBC attempted to tie the game just before the buzzer but missed, ending with a three-point win for the Owls, 73-70.
