FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team used a two out, five-run rally in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Culver-Stockton College on a walk-off Wednesday afternoon, 9-8. The Owls improve to 11-8 on the season.

The Owls begin conference play with a three-game series at Harris-Stowe State University starting on Friday, March 17. The doubleheader begins at 12 p.m. The single, nine-inning game will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18.
- The Owls had a two out, five-run rally in the bottom of the ninth for the comeback win.
- Kamron Morris hit a two-out RBI single in bottom of the ninth to score Tyler Horton and cut the game to 8-5.
- Zach Krause followed with a two RBI double down the left field line to score Ian Hickman and Isaiah Gibbs and cut the game to one, 8-7.
- Alex Wimer then stepped to the plate as a pinch hitter and hit a two RBI single up the middle for the walk-off win. Bryson Matthews and Mason Silverwood crossed home plate on the play.
- C-SC's Alex Harbin led off the second with a home run over the center field fence to go up 1-0. They added a second run in the inning on a RBI single.
- C-SC added three more in the third on Dax Flowerree's three-run homer.
- The Owls scored four in the bottom of the third to cut the game to 5-4 – Isaiah Gibbs hit a two RBI single, and Blain Tuekper hit a two-run home run.
- C-SC added a solo home run from Jordan Scott in the top of the sixth and two unearned runs in the eighth to take an 8-4 lead.
- Pitching: Carson Prescott (1-0) was credited with the win. He pitched the final 1.0 inning and struck out two of the four batters faced. Ian O'Malley started on the mound and pitched 2.2 innings. Wyatt Fischer pitched 2.1 innings, Logan Blumhagen pitched 2.0 innings and Andrew Fyffe pitched 1.0 innings. The Owls pitching staff struck out 11 total.
