FAYETTE, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team finished the first half of the North Region Bash in a dominating fashion as they went 2-0 against two top-ranked opponents. The Owls opened their four-game tournament with a dominating 9-1 win over 12
th-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University. On Saturday, they blanked receiving votes Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.), 3-0.
 
 

The Owls close out the North Region Bash hosted by Central Methodist University with two games on Monday, March 6. They play Saint Xavier (Ill.) at 1 p.m. and close out the tournament against 14th-ranked Central Methodist at 7 p.m.
 
 
William Woods def. No. 12 MidAmerica Nazarene, 9-1
	- The Owls put up 15 hits with nine runs scored.
 
	- Tyler Horton went 4-5 from the plate with a run scored.
 
	- Kamron Morriss went 3-3 at the plate with a grand slam, four RBI and two runs scored.
 
	- Isaiah Gibbs went 3-5 at the plate with a double and two runs scored.
 
	- MNU scored their only run of the day on a wild pitch in the bottom of the first.
 
	- Pitching: Ryan Long (1-1) pitched the complete game win, striking out 11 while holding the ranked team to just one hit on the day.
