POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team played a single, nine inning game at College of the Ozarks (Mo.) Tuesday afternoon. Despite the Owls attempt to pull ahead, they fell 6-5 to the Bobcats.
The Owls move to 8-8 on the season.

The Owls host Trinity Christian College (Ill.) for a doubleheader on Thursday, March 9, to finish off their busy spring break week. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
- The Owls struck first with a Vincent Pyeatt run off Blain Tuepker's RBI single.
- COFO evened the score in the bottom of the first and put up five runs in the second to take a 6-1 lead.
- Isaiah Gibbs hit a two RBI home run in the third.
- Zach Krause hit a RBI double in the fourth to score Ian O'Malley.
- Alex Wimer hit a two-out RBI single in the eighth to plate O'Malley, cutting the game to 6-5.
- The Owls outhit COFO 9-8 with six batters recording a hit.
- Three Owls had two hits – Tyler Horton, Blain Tuepker and Ian O'Malley.
- Pitching: Karter Anderson (0-1) was the starting pitcher and was credited with the loss. The Owls used six pitchers in the game.
