Francis Okwuosah was was named to the 11-player All-Tournament Team for the 2024 AMC Men's Basketball Championship presented by Tandem HR. The All-Tournament team, selected by the eight tournament-qualifying coaches, was announced today by the conference office. Central Baptist College's Sage Borbon was named tournament MVP, as voted on by a selection committee made up of the AMC staff and two coaches.
In addition to his offensive contributions, Okwuosah also posted five blocks and two steals during the tournament. He finished the regular season third on the WWU scoring charts with 265 pts and second in blocks (24) and rebounds (166). The junior from Atlanta, Ga., hauled in four double-doubles on the year, twice finishing with 22 pts and 13 reb (vs. UHSP, at Williams Baptist)
Borbon led the Mustangs to their third AMC Tournament title in the last six seasons. He averaged 16.0 points per game during the Tournament, averaged 4.3 rebounds per game and a team-high 4.3 assists per game.
