OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - William Woods Men's and Women's Track and Field concluded their 2025-26 indoor season at the Heart of America Indoor Conference Championship over the weekend. The men finished in 10th place out of 14 teams with 27 points, and the women finished in 9th place out of 13 teams with 29 points.

Over the course of the weekend's events, William Woods had 12 total placements. Seven individual women, four individual men, and one group of men each placed in their respective events.

Myra Baker placed 6th in the Women's 800 with a time of 2:32.38. Crystal Ruden and Sarah Kirby placed 3rd and 8th in the Women's 3K with times of 10:29.54 and 10:46.69 respectively. Ruden and Kirby also placed 5th and 6th in the Women's 5K with times of 18:11.21 and 18:35.52. Anna Hart placed 2nd in the Women's 3K Racewalk with a time of 16:21.36. Esther (El) Reagan placed 5th in the Women's Pole Vault with a height of 2.95m.

Ethan Wilson placed 4th in the Men's 800 with a time of 1:56.11. Blaine Brodersen placed 4th in the Men's 1000m with a time of 2:28.86. Jenson Starr placed 6th in the Men's 5K with a time of 15:07.25. Colten Crocker placed 5th in Men's Pole Vault with a height of 4.30m.

The sole victory by the William Woods Owls came in the Men's DMR, where the team of Jenson Starr, Gabriel Soest, Jaxon Engelbrecht, and Blaine Brodersen placed 1st with a time of 10:29.30.
