SAINT LOUIS, Mo.- William Woods Track and Field, coming off a great meet at Central Methodist University last weekend, continue their outdoor campaign with a distance meet at Washington University.
"I was so pleased with the distance group today at Wash U," added coach Moreno. "They all performed so well in one of the biggest distance events in the country!"
The Owls continue to impress, this time with another record from runner Mekayla Gibson. The senior from Owensville, Mo., shattered her personal best in the 10k by shaving 20 seconds off her time. Crystal Ruden and Sarah Kirby also both set PR's in different events, with Kirby falling just short of the WWU Record Book in the 5000m.
On the men's side, freshman Sean Wigger continues to turn head with a time of 15:35.74 in the men's 5000m. Senior Jensen Starr narrowly missed the NAIA 'B' Standard in the men's 10k, with the hope to notch that time next outing.
