The 2012 women's golf team finished fourth at the NAIA National Championships, becoming the first team in WWU history to finish in the top four in an NAIA Championship sanctioned sport. They ranked third in the country in Golfstat which is tied for the second-best finish in school history.
 
Coached by Barry Doty, the team was comprised of Jada Bennington, Jeanna Brewer, Kelsey Brown, Stephanie Bruemmer, Ashlee Daly, Lacee Floyd, Alannah Hustead, Lindsey Johnson, Cassie Kennedy, Brooke Lucas, Valerie Mielziner, Alyson Mongler, Jamie Palermo, Joni Purvis, Naomi Starr, and Elizabeth Welker. 
 
The team finished with a 126-14-1 overall record, beating all opponents by a combined 8,080 strokes. They won the American Midwest Conference by 69 strokes, and the team ranked third in the country in scoring. The Owls played every team in the Top 20 and only had a losing record to the National Champion University of British Columbia.
 
The 2012 team ranks first in school history in eagles in a season with five, fourth with 155 birdies in a season, and fifth in winning percentage with a 90.10%. 
 
The team featured three NAIA All-Americans (Jada Bennington, Jamie Palermo and Ashlee Daly) and two Capital One CoSIDA All-Americans (Jada Bennington-First Team and Jamie Palermo-Third Team). They had eight All-AMC First Team recipients: Jada Bennington, Jamie Palermo, Naomi Starr, Ashlee Daly, Lindsey Johnson, Naomi Starr, Elizabeth Welker, Valerie Mielziner and Alyson Mongler. They also had three Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes: Jada Bennington, Naomi Starr and Elizabeth Welker.

The 2012 National team members were Jada Bennington, Naomi Starr, Lindsey Johnson, Ashlee Daly and Jamie Palermo. Their 72-hole team score of 1224 ranks them first in WWU history and their 917 54-hole score ranks second in school history.
