Jada Bennington enters the William Woods University Athletic Hall of Fame after a stellar four-year career, from 2008-12, for the Owls Women's Golf Team. 
 
"When Coach Doty called me, I thought he was just calling to check in and see how my family and I were doing," stated Jada Bennington. "I was not expecting him to tell me I was chosen to be inducted into the hall of fame. I was at a loss for words. I instantly became overwhelmed with the feeling of excitement and I was a little shocked. I always thought being inducted into the hall of fame would be an incredible honor. WWU has so many great student athletes, I am honored to be chosen for this year's hall of fame class."
 
Over her four-year career for the Owls Women's Golf Team, Bennington was a four-time All-American Midwest Conference selection, three-time NAIA All-American, three-time AMC Conference Player of the year and was named AMC Freshmen of the Year in 2009.
 
Bennington finished her career holding most of the school records for women's golf. Over her four years, she helped lead the Owls to four straight NAIA National Championship appearances and led the Owls to a fourth-place finish at the 2012 NAIA National Championship, which at the time was the highest finish in school history.
 
Her name is still in the Owls women's golf record book as she is tied for second with seven career wins. She ranks third in the program history with 123 birdies, and career winning percentage of 87.6 percent. Bennington carded three eagles, which ranks fourth. Her 72-hole total of 303 also ranks fourth in school history, which she accomplished at the 2012 National Championships.
 
She set the school record by playing in 101 rounds and finished her four-year career with a 78.56 stroke average, which is the highest ever recorded by a women's golfer. In 2011 and 2012, she finished the season ranked 12th in the NAIA in scoring.

Not only did she have success on the course, but she also had success in the classroom. She was a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. In 2012, she became the second Owl to earn CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American honors. She was also recognized in 2012 as a distinguished scholar in Sports Management.
