Ashley Windmiller, a catcher, played on the Owls softball team from 2004-2007 and complied numerous awards and records during her four-year career with William Woods. She ranks first in the career record books in most runners picked-off (22), caught stealing (35), home runs (43), runs batted in (198) and total bases (447).

Other individual awards include being named the 2004 AMC Freshman of the Year, 2006 Player of the Year, a four-time First Team All-AMC winner, being named to the NAIA All-American First-Team in 2005 and 2007, and was the 2007 NAIA Region V Player of the Year. She also ranks in school history in the top 10 in 14 different career statistical categories for the Owls.
